Heather Waldsax (representing the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education)
Heather is an experienced and successful secondary school teacher of Religious Education who has had wide responsibilities for worship leading and spiritual direction in both school and church, and for 20 years an Assistant Headteacher, retiring in 2014 after a 34 year career. While teaching, she held a responsibility for the organisation and development of in-school training for the local SCITT and supported many successful trainee teachers.
She was involved for many years with adult education and ministry programmes in Salisbury Diocese. She has combined her knowledge of theology, with music and management skills to good effect in her teaching career as well as in music direction and education for both Church and Diocese. Following retirement from full-time teaching until recently, she has held several roles within the Diocese working with young vocations, music in worship and as a secondary consultant for collective worship.
Since 2009 she has been an Associate Priest within the Church of England, and from 2017 a member of the clergy team at Wimborne Minster.
John Kingston
John worked in the financial sector for 3i Group plc before joining Save the Children in 1990 as Director of Fundraising. In 2001, he founded Venturesome, a pioneer in social investment, offering small charities and social enterprise access to loans and investment capital. He chaired the Institute of Fundraising and later the Association of Charitable Foundations.
After retiring from full time work in 2011, he developed a non-executive portfolio which included Chair of the Access Foundation and Trustee of HelpAge international. Moving to Wimborne in 2015, he was invited to join the Academy Trust in May 2017 and took over as Chair in November 2019, retiring from the Board in May 2024.
Jayne Pavlou (Foundation Member)
Jayne recently served as Deputy Director for the London Diocese, where she held particular responsibility for supporting and developing the Christian foundation of Church schools. Prior to this role, she worked extensively across London as a diocesan adviser, headteacher, and consultant headteacher, leading and supporting a number of Church primary schools.
Jayne has been actively involved with SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) for many years. She currently serves as a SIAMS inspector and is also a member of the SIAMS National Quality Assurance Team. Alongside this work, Jayne runs her own consultancy, continuing her commitment to supporting Church schools and strengthening educational leadership.
Since relocating from London with her husband and daughter, she has been enjoying opportunities to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside
